Li-Jay Chu is a brand strategist, marketing coach, and business consultant with over 20 years of experience with consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands. She got her start in marketing as the West Coast Street Promotions Manager of the first all female “street team” for Columbia Records, promoting artists like Lauryn Hill, Destiny’s Child, etc. Since then, she has worked on projects with brands such as Dell, DirecTV, Petco, Jack in the Box, XM Satellite Radio, and Louis Vuitton. She was the North American head of marketing for Motul, an international engine oil brand. There, she was integral in creating and managing strategy, from advertising/print, digital marketing, events, sponsorships, to trade campaigns.
Li-Jay currently holds an MFA in Screenwriting and additionally, she is currently pursuing her MBA from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champagne focusing on entrepreneurship and digital marketing.
In her spare time, she volunteers as the Director of Marketing & PR at AsylumConnect, travels, and spends time with friends and family.
